Weekend Recap

I had a fun weekend, but I'm glad that I can just sit down now and relax for awhile.

My mom and I attended a women's expo on Saturday. It was fun. There were lots of vendors there and I picked up a Christmas gift for one of my sister-in-laws. We also spent a lot of time in Hobby Lobby. LOVE that store!!

I had my Uppercase Living Open House today. It reminded me why I don't host in-home parties. I only had 4 guests attend. While I was very grateful that they were here, I was disappointed and embarrassed that no one else came. Sometimes I feel like I'm the friend that people think it's ok to ignore. Maybe I'm just being silly but I feel that way a lot.

Hope you all had a great weekend.

I think these parties are hard right now. Money is short in most families plus it's close to the holiday's. Another issue I've had is that if you go to one with your friends they've probably bought what they want so it's hard to host a party soon after someone else. It can become a viscious circle. 4 people is better than none. Glad you had fun with your mom at the show.

Regarding being the friend who seems okay to ignore...I know how you feel.

Sorry I couldn't be there...On the upside, I do not have to stay up all night tonight getting ready for my meeting tomorrow.

I'm sorry that only 4 people came to your show (if you invited a whole lot more) but don't dwell negatively on it think WOW 4 people DID come to my show (and they probably bought stuff too). I bet they really enjoyed it.

I already finished Twilight....it was FABULOUS!!!! I will have to go out and buy New Moon tomorrow and get started on it!

I meant to tell you I bought Twilight on Monday but didn't get a chance to start reading it til Thursday. I finished it at 10:30 last night. Gotta go buy the others now that I know I like the first one.

That expo sounds like fun. I would love to get some of my CHristmas shopping done early.

I used to do in-home parties, and most people never really had a good turn out.I went to a jewelry party just yesterday and there were about 7 people that showed. YOu just never know about those things.
