My Husband Rocks!

I missed my Friday post for My Husband Rocks! So here it is, a day late.

David and I had been dating for a year and a half, and on February 26, 2007 he asked me to marry him. At the time I was teaching in the preschool classroom at a daycare. Here's our proposal story.

David had one of my friends at work help him carry out his proposal plan. While some of my co-workers distracted me during nap time, Dave snuck in to the center. While I was out of my classroom, one of my co-workers pulled my preschool children into another room and they were each given a sign to carry. As I walked back towards my room, my kids began walking towards me with signs reading "Will" "you" "marry" and "me?" (luckily there were only 4 kids there at that time). I started crying as soon as I read the second sign. Dave then stepped out of the room, got down on one knee, and asked me to marry him. He even remembered to bring the camera so we would have pictures!!

This is a picture of my preschoolers holding the signs that Dave had made. Please ignore the fact that they are not standing in order. :o)
My husband rocks because he made a very special day even more special by involving my preschoolers and friends at work.

Awe, that is so cute! I didn't get a cute or romantic proposal. That's the one thing I feel I was cheated out of. :(
Oh well, it's the marriage that counts, right?! Been married almost 21 yrs!
