Goodbye Fall, Hello Winter

We started getting rain in our area yesterday and this afternoon it turned into snow. I'm not ready for snow! This won't stick around long, but it's a reminder of what's to come.
Here's a pretty good view of how much was coming down.
At least our pumpkins have a little shelter so they won't completely turn into snowballs.

Puts me in the Christmas mood though! Only 63 days away :o)

Yikes! The first snow is so pretty. It's very close to snowing here in Illinois. It's supposed to rain and be in the upper 30s at night this week...just a few degrees and we'll have it, too. The snow looks so pretty on your pumpkins.

Found you through Pioneer Woman. Snowing already?! And I was excited that it was in the 50's where I live! I hope you get a little more fall to enjoy before winter hits! And I love the snow on the pumpkins!

usually I would groan at having the first snow in October, but since we are moving to Houston this winter, I am anxious to see some white stuff before we go. It will be our last chance to make snow icecream and snowmen and snowballs and snow-anything for a while!

My poor mom! She is in KC this week visiting my bro and nephews and of COURSE they're supposed to get snow. She had so many fun fall plans but I guess she'll have to skip them and play in the snow with her grandkids instead. Forget the hay ride.

BRRRR! It turned colder here today as well, but no snow thank goodness. My thin blood couldnt take snow this early.

I love the picture with the snow on the tree. We won't ever see anything like that in our town. :-(

Now, this reminds me of our days in Portland, Maine. I haven't seen snow for 15 years.
