books

I've seen this on a few blogs. I ran across it today on Jill's blog and thought I'd give it a go.

The Big Read is a National Endowment for the Arts program designed to encourage community reading initiatives and of their top 100 books, they estimate the average adult has read only six.

Here’s what you are supposed to do:
*Look at the list and bold those we have read.
*Italicize those we intend to read.
*Underline the books we LOVE .Share this list in your blog, too, if you like.

So there it is. I've read four of those books. I'm below average when it compared to the average adult. Always knew it. Couldn't they throw some more interesting books on there so I could feel above average?

I like to read, but obviously my taste in books differs quite drastically from the ones listed here. How about a little Baby-sitter's Club from back in the day? Ok, I'm kidding...well, kind of.

I love the "Jigga What"...I am going to have to us that one sometime! I wish they would allow you to say you have read the book if you saw the movie! Then I could really list many of them! :) I am not sure I have even heard of all the books on the list!

I've read 9. There are a few I've seen in the movies but somehow think that doesn't quite count so I didn't. OUCH!!! Oops, now I know why bug is my bff. She thinks the same way I do and said it right there in her comment. Too funny. Bottom line, YOU'RE NOT ALONE!!!

I've read only about 4 or 5 of those books myself. I, too, loved me some Babysitter's Club and Sweet Valley books. Jigga what-that reminds me of a dirty-sounding song I used to dance to back in the day. Jigga wha, jigga who(insert dirty noises)-yeah, not so good. And I meant to leave the "t" off.
Now I am sounding REALLY random, huh?
