Look What I Did

Joy at Joys of Home showed this project on Friday.  I thought it was pretty darn cute, so I decided to give it a try too!  Here's what I ended up with:
The picture was taken at a big of an angle so its not quite as off center as it appears.  I think I'll put it in the bottom of our "new" TV stand.
I'll be attending a baby shower next week, so I think I'll make one to give as a gift.  I'm going try an oval next time like Mrs. H did with her project.  I don't know what colors the nursery is done in though and I don't really have a way of finding out either (it's one of my co-workers at the school, she had a girl).  Any ideas on what colors I should use?

Your L is LLLovely! I like the toile paper. I think it will look really nice on your TV stand.
I bet you can find paper that has a lot of pastel colors in the pattern to use for the baby one. That might be a safe choice, unless they chose primary colors to decorate with. Maybe you can see if she was registered somewhere like Target and look to see what color choices she made. Good Luck!

Cute project and by the way. I saw your name/blog on a comment form and noticed we're name twins. I am always excited to see/meet somoene who spells their name like I do. Silly but true. Have a good day.

I'm new here too. Well, I've been on since June but to me I'm still new at it. I stumble my way around a lot. Thanks for coming over to my blog and commenting. I agree they are like presents. I feel like squealing each time I see I have a new one. On the other hand, I hate it when nobody has been by. So sad. Let's check on each other often and leave a little present each day if we can. What do you think?

Great job on the monogram - L's are very lovable, and yours is especially nice!

Very nice! I love toile. Come by and see mine :)

I am loving the damask print, and toiles, too...how about one of those in a off-white or sage sort of color with an off white letter? Or even robin's egg blue? I am having the same dilemma because now I want to make one of these for everyone I know and I am not sure about what colors to choose! lol Everyone should have a blog with pics of their home on it so that this would not be a problem ;)

Nice to meet you,
Bella :)

I was checking in to see if you had figured out the linky thing. I had a hard time with it myself. My girlfriend at 6 By His Desing called and walked me through it. I wasn't highlighting the words to make it work. IT WAS DRIVING ME NUTS! Anyway, I was going to try to walk you through it but someone already did. YEAH!
