Weekend Recap

David had Friday off so we went to Goodwill and stopped at a pawn shop/second hand furniture store in the afternoon.  I was pretty excited because I ran across a hutch/buffet thing at the pawn shop.  I've been wanting one for quite awhile but have been waiting to find one that was the "right" price.  This one was cheap so David bought it for me.  He also loaded and unloaded it by himself because he was either too impatient to wait for help or knew I wouldn't be much help anyway.  :o)
Friday night we had supper at a new-ish fire grilled pizza place here in town.  Then we ended the night by going to Lowe's and picking out paint for my new project.  Yeah, we get pretty wild around here.

David worked a long shift on Saturday so I had lots of time to work on my buffet thing (not really sure what to call it).  I'll show ya pictures sometime this week once it's all put back together.

We had a pretty wild Sunday too.  David did the laundry and I baked some zucchini bread.  I used a new recipe and it did not turn out well.

As you can see it has a flat top and is a weird color.  It tastes ok but not good.  The top is kinda crunchy too.  I don't know if it was the recipe or me....had to be the recipe right? ;o)   I've actually had problems the last 3 or 4 times I've tried to make quick breads so I'm not sure why I'm having troubles all of a sudden.  Any ideas?

Hope you all have a good week!

Do they require a different measurment or temp due to the rain or your altitude? Where did you get the recipe from? That would break my heart after putting all that time, love and energy into them.

I love your new buffet. I can't wait to see what you do with it. It's pretty!

Sorry about your zuchinni bread. I have never made it before, so I don't know what may have caused that.

Hope you have a good week. When does school start for you?

I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with the buffet/hutch...what a great piece...especially if it was cheap!
