A Little Spray Paint Never Hurt Anyone

A few weekends ago I picked up this small platter at a church rummage sale. It was marked 10 cents but we arrived after 12 pm when everything was marked half price. I'd been looking for a plate to give a spray paint treatment to and for 5 cents, I thought this would be a good piece to try. It sat around for a few weeks while I was in my slump. I finally decided to give it a little attention last night. So I spray painted it as I planted flowers. Result:Little pieces of dirt on the plate. You can't really tell they are there unless you look closely so I left it as is. Tonight I looked through my paper/crafting supplies for something to embellish the plate. I found some rub-ons I picked up at Michaels for $1 awhile back. Final result:Just a little more quick, cheap wall art :o)

What type of paint did you use? I really like the final results.
Oh, before I forget...what is the name of the Swedish pancake mix that you found on a blog?
Thank you for stopping by my blog, leaving a comment and being eligible for my birthday blog drawing!

Cool project! I really wish we lived close. I could learn a lot from you about craftiness. The house will come when the time is right and you will appreciate it much more than some who take their homes for granted.
