I went to a few rummage sales yesterday but didn't find anything to buy. I finally finished a small project I started about a month ago though. I decided I was tired of the deep reds and blacks in our kitchen awhile ago and wanted to brighten it up a bit for spring. I had a few square black pictures frames lying around so I decided to paint them a green apple color. I wasn't sure what I wanted to put in the frames so I went for some cheap art. I found a fruit transfer set for embroidery at the dollar store and bought some plain white fabric. The result:

Not too bad for a $5 project and I won't feel bad when I get tired of them and decided to change them out.
I tried to spray paint a couple things yesterday and then again today but it's just too windy and not warm enough yet. I'll show when I get it done though :o)
Hope everyone had a restful weekend!

I hung some new pics today too. Still working on finishing a few walls that need help. Haven't had the guts to ask my landlords if we can paint yet. Don't know why. All they can say is "No."
They are great! I love the colors...the green is such a pretty green.
Those are really cute! I bet your kitchen looks great all lightened up. You did a great job on these!
