I've been so off on my days lately, I thought yesterday was Saturday for most of the day.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas! I got a lot of great gifts and was glad to be able to spend time with family but I'm so glad it's all over. I was lacking in Christmas spirit this year. We had our last family Christmas on Saturday. As soon as we got home I started putting the decorations away. Normally I feel a little sad once everything is down but this year I kind of felt a sense of relief that it was gone. Hopefully family issues will be sorted out next year and I'll be back to my Christmas overloaded self.
Anyway, I worked on a few small projects last night. I've been seeing cute little canvas paintings like these around blog world lately. They're all very cute, but don't really fit into my budget right now so I thought I'd try to make my own. So I went to Walmart and picked up this 10x10 canvas for $3.79.
Here's the end result. It's not as cute as the ones I've seen online but the money saved makes up for it.
I also dyed our bedroom curtains in our kitchen sink last night. What a job that was! I think I'll try the washing machine method if I ever do it again.

Too cute!! I wish I had even an ounce of the talent to do one of these. GREAT job!!
I like your project. I had no idea WalMart had canvas! I'll have to look next time. I bought some at JoAnn a little while ago when they were half off.
That is very cute! You did a good job. I have the urge to go look around at Hobby Lobby today now!
Your project looks great....I think you did a fabulous job on it!
You're very talented. I always enjoy my visits to your blog.
You always find and make the neatest projects. Love you SS swap too. Hope you are recovering well from the holidays. I'm loving my first day home. Cleaning, laundry and chaos included!
Just wanted to stop by and say Happy New Year to you and your family! :)
