Going crazy?

For the past few days I've been smelling cigarette smoke for no apparent reason.  I'll be watching TV, lying in bed, doing dishes, etc. and all of a sudden I'll smell the smoke.  It's driving me nuts!  I HATE that smell and I can't figure out what's causing it.

I decided to Google it and to my surprise I didn't even have to type any more than "keep smelling" and it suggested the rest.  Lots of people have this happen but no one seemed to have a reason as to why it happens.

Has anyone else had this happen?  If so, do you know what caused it?

Until I figure it out I'll be sporting this look...

...because smelling my hand is the only thing that makes it go away.
{Just so you know, I don't put my hands in my armpits before smelling them ;o) }

Wow, that IS strange! If I were you, I'd be comforted in the fact that other people have that issue at times, also. I hope it goes away for you soon, cigarette smoke smell is yuck!

That is crazy. Maybe someone is outside and it's coming through vents or something???

I thought that I was the only one that had this happen. I have never googled it but I have always thought that maybe it was my granddaddy, who passed away 17 years ago. I don't necessarily believe in ghosts but that's my only explanation that I could think of that it could be.

I've had it happen but I've always chucked it up to being around someone who had recently smoked or walking through an area where someone smoked. My hair and skin seem to soak up the smell instantly and stick with me. Hmmmmm? Curious!
