Two questions. Have you ever seen tulips grow sideways? And....have you ever managed to kill a plant in less than 10 days? I bought this plant on Saturday and at the rate I'm going I think it'll be completely dead in 10 days. Yay me.
DOn't beat yourself up. The tulips are growing towards the light. They don't last long at all so it's not you! They are my favorite flower and I've had many of my own do the same. Do you know Tulips are the only flower that continues to grow after they've been cut? I love that they live even after their "wings" have been clipped.
I think of you everytime I walk past the tulips in Walmart... Guess maybe I won't be buying some for you. Actually yours look better than some of them. Yours are unique. mom
I'm not a big fan of fake flowers/plants BUT I found some very realistic tulips at Michael's awhile back. I took them to work and I got so many people asking me if they were real!!!
I don't have the greenest thumb either, but I've had this same phenomenon happen with the flower/plant growing toward the light. Just turn the planter every so often so it doesn't get distorted. That usually helps.
Ok, this literally made me laugh out loud. I like your "yay me" at the end. So funny. I have to tell you, though, mine would probably be dead even sooner...

Usually plants grow towards the light. And the comment is true above, plants like that just don't last long inside.
But they are still pretty! :)
And yes, I kill more plants than I can keep alive!
