Weekend Recap

This past weekend was Hobo Days! In case you're wondering, Hobo Days is South Dakota State University's homecoming. My parents (almost) always spend Hobo Day weekend in town. I met up with them for the parade Saturday morning. I also had supper with them that night.

Sunday was David's birthday. We had a family lunch at my brother-in-law's house. With the help of his family, I surprised him with this cake.
We spent the afternoon just hanging out with family. While there, my niece showed me a dresser she had painted for her bedroom. I wish I had taken a picture to show you all. She did a great job painting it and found some really cute knobs to put on the drawers.
Hope you all had a great weekend too!

Nichole, the tags are so much better than candles! How sweet. That would make me feel awesome. Is it a family tradition?

I am going to do this for my hubby's 30th, coming up in December. What a great idea and thank you for sharing on your blog. I love blogs just for that reason, the sharing of ideas.
